Yes. For the safety and security of all guests and staff, all visitors to LEGOLAND® California Resort, including SEA LIFE® Aquarium, may be subject to security screening before entry.
We recommend arriving with plenty of time before your visit, as enhanced security procedures may cause short delays. Our security team appreciates your cooperation as they work to help keep the Resort safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Security Measures You May Encounter
Security checks may include:
- Bag and personal belonging inspections
- Walkthrough metal detectors
- Handheld wand detectors
- Other security screening procedures as required
Prohibited Items
The following items are not permitted inside LEGOLAND® California Resort:
- Drones of any kind
- Balloons, inflatables, and balls (such as footballs or tennis balls)
- Weapons or objects that could be mistaken for weapons, including:
- Firearms (real or toy)
- Pocket knives
- Self-defense sprays (including pepper spray)
- Toy guns and squirt guns
- Marijuana, alcohol, or illegal substances
- Outside food and beverages, including fast food
Exceptions: Water, individually wrapped single-serving snacks, and items required for medical, religious, or specific dietary needs are permitted.
- Coolers larger than 12" x 10" (approximately 6-pack size)
- Coolers with wheels
- Glass containers (except baby food containers)
- Luggage, rolling backpacks, or wheeled bags
- Segways, rollerblades, scooters, hoverboards, wheeled shoes, and skateboards
- Folding chairs
- Portable speakers
- Large selfie sticks or ring lights
- Clothing displaying offensive language or imagery
- Pets (only trained service animals are permitted)
LEGOLAND® California Resort reserves the right to inspect any item and refuse entry of any item deemed unsafe or inappropriate. Resort Guest Services cannot store prohibited items.
Security Rangers patrol all areas of the Resort and are happy to assist with any questions during your visit.
