LEGOLAND California Resort has updated the caregiver ticket policies effective July 14, 2025. The Resort offers a discounted entry ticket for one (1) non-parent caregiver who accompanies a disabled guest across both peak and off-peak periods. This discounted ticket type is called a “Caregiver Ticket” and can only be issued at Guest Services on the day of the visit. A disabled guest’s support requirements can vary significantly. For some people it will involve one-to-one support at all times.
A Caregiver is someone who provides assistance and support to disabled guests with a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more major life activities and are unable to fully care for themselves during their visit. Parents are not considered Caregivers under this policy and are therefore ineligible for a Caregiver ticket. By purchasing the discounted Caregiver ticket, the Caregiver accepts full responsibility for supporting the accompanied disabled guest throughout the attraction visit. This includes being able to provide them with assistance and support that may be necessary to aid the disabled guest in an emergency or evacuation situation. Merlin Entertainments staff are unable to aid more than their typical role so it’s important that the Caregiver understands the physical and emotional requirements of the disabled guest to always ensure their safety. Caregivers must remain with the disabled guest for the duration of the visit or stay.
Please note that any misuse of the Caregiver ticket policy—whether by the disabled guest or their Caregiver—may result in removal from property, and/or refusal of access under this scheme for future visits. Caregiver Tickets are not eligible for combination with discounts or special offers.
If you are an annual passholder that was using the caregiver ticket prior to July 14, 2025, visit Guest Services during your visit to understand how this policy will impact your pass moving forward. Annual passes purchased on or after July 13, 2025 must follow new policy.
Documentation may be requested upon request to confirm the need for a caregiver without disclosing specific medical diagnoses or personal health information of the disabled guest. For more information, click here
